Waste to energy - we have solution

High temperature combustion

Effective and low-emission combustion of lower quality fuels is currently a very sought-after topic in the energy and heating industry. This is due to unstable prices of energy carriers such as gas, oil and coal. Additionally, due to the macroeconomic situation, sources of energy independence are being sought, which can only be provided by renewable energy sources, e.g. energy from wind, sun or biomass.

Biomass ensures energy independence and full control over heating costs

Due to its local sources, biomass is an energy biofuel that ensures energy independence and full control over the costs of energy production. Local biomass resources include straw, energy plants such as Miscanthus, corn, branch chips, forest waste, etc. It can be said that the resources of biomass that can be burned in our boilers are virtually unlimited. We can produce wood chips from shredded wood, branches, stumps, forest and agricultural remains. Particularly profitable are chips from energy plants, which renew their resources every year. Such a heating system provides full energy independence because we literally have a closed-loop economy: we produce fuel ourselves to heat our company or home. We then have full control over heating costs and energy independence.

From waste to costfree energy– a 21st century solution

Biomass offers great opportunities for obtaining free heat energy and is an available resource practically everywhere. But the solution for the 21st century is energy from waste. Waste is a problem in the modern world, we produce more and more of it, and it can be a source of free heat and even electricity. In high-temperature industrial boilers, we can burn waste without affecting the environment; with the exhaust gas after-combustion temperature above 850 °C, we have completely clean combustion that is completely safe for the environment.

Industrial boilers for burning waste and alternative fuels

With the exhaust gas after-combustion temperature above 850 °C required by regulations, we have clean combustion without dioxins, furans and other hazardous substances. After installing dedicated exhaust gas treatment installations and combustion catalysts, we can completely clean exhaust gases from the combustion of waste and alternative fuels.

Industrial biomass boiler houses can produce heat energy at a very attractive price. Biomass is much cheaper than coal or liquid fuels and the investment costs in building a biomass boiler house will quickly pay off. Additionally, attention should be paid to the degree of automation of the biomass or waste combustion process. In our company, it is at a very high level because we not only have dedicated automation to control the combustion process:

• Automatic lighting and extinguishing of the furnace

• Full power modulation of the biomass burner

• Automatic ash and slag removal

• Fully automatic process of feeding biomass from a silo or moving floor warehouse

• Monitoring the operation of the entire system

The process of feeding biomass from the fuel storage is a key factor influencing the comfort of daily operation of the device. The heating system for burning biomass and waste must take into account the autonomy of operation planned by the user. How often we will load fuel depends on the design of an appropriate fuel storage facility. The moving floor system with a hydraulic reel allows the size of the fuel storage to be adjusted to the actual biomass consumption. A 10 m3 moving floor will support a 500 kW thermal unit within a few days without the need to replenish the biomass. Fuel storage in the form of a funnel silo or a moving floor ensures optimization of the operating time of the biomass boiler room on one fuel loading. Smaller units are much cheaper, but you have to count on them being enough for a much shorter operation of the entire installation. 3 m3 external basket is cheaper but is enough for daily operation of a 500 kW system. If we are talking about a 300 kW unit, it will be enough for up to 48 hours of operation, which is a satisfactory value for many users. However, in the case of a power of 750 kW, this time is too small and either an external hopper silo or a moving floor warehouse must be used.
